Yvonne Gottsch Obituary
Yvonne Gottsch, 84
WINDHAM - Yvonne Gottsch, 84, died Sept. 3, 2015. She was born in Windham, on Aug. 5, 1931, the daughter of Lewis and Pearlice (Welch) Shaw.
Yvonne lived in Windham most of her life, and attended the Windham Schools. On June 24, 1952, Yvonne married Irvin J. Gottsch, and they began their life together. She started working as a manufacturer for Healthtex, went on to work on the floor at Electronics Etc. until they closed, and then went back to Healthtex. Yvonne was a member of Good Sam's Club, and a former member of the Little Falls Baptist Church when she was younger. She enjoyed dancing, camping, and playing cards. Often she would sit around the fire at night drinking coffee and listening to Lucille and Bob sing. She would travel to Omaha, Neb. almost every other year with her husband, Irvin, to visit her in-laws, and they would also travel to the Fryeburg Fair every year and stay the whole week. Yvonne was an animal lover, who cherished her pets, including a German Shepard, Vonn, and her little Peek-a-Poo, Precious.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Irvin J. Gottsch, sisters, Marie Brigham, and Mina Proulx; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Russell, Lewis, and Roger Shaw, and sisters, Christine Fitzgerald, Luella Allan, Martha Steeves, Dawn Brown, and Beverly Berry.
A period of visitation will be held from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham, where a service will be held at 1 p.m. in the Chapel.
