WESTBROOK - Wayne V. Waterhouse, 81, of Spring Street, died peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at the Springbrook Nursing Center, following a long illness.Wayne was born in Portland,on Feb. 28, 1937, the son of the late Vernon F. and Virginia I. (Leary) Waterhouse. He graduated from Deering High School in the class of 1956.Shortly after graduating from high school, Wayne moved to California where he made his home and had a 41 year career working for Lockheed Martin Aircraft Manufacturing. In his spare time he enjoyed reading and was a generous supporter of churches all around the world.Wayne is survived by a sister, Linda Tillman, of Scarborough; a niece, Kristyn Tillman, of South Portland; a nephew, Hugh and his wife, Lainie Tillman of Hawaii; great-niece, Theresa Tillman, of South Portland; great-nephew, Greyson Tillman, of California.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at 12 p.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 150 Black Point Rd., Scarborough. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Broadway, South Portland. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home, 1024 Broadway, South Portland.
