He was born Jan. 15, 1947, in Queens, N.Y., the son of John and Gloria (Moran) Sheehan. He was a graduate of James Wilson Young High School, Long Island, N.Y., and New Hampshire College. On Sept. 19, 1970, he married Sharon Goodall in Blue Point, N.Y.
Mr. Sheehan served a long successful career in the U.S. Navy of 23 years, retiring in 1989. He served most of his career as a flight engineer, completing multiple tours to Antarctica at duty stations such as, Ventura, Calif., and Norfolk, Va.; finally finishing his service at Brunswick Naval Station. After his military service, he was employed by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, retiring after 13 years.

For many years, Tim immersed himself in golf, and was a member of the Maine Golf Association. He was also an avid sports fan of the Boston Red Sox and Bruins. In his later years, he discovered a passion for sharing his joy of cooking, and his appreciation for jazz, with his family.
