TOPSHAM - Thomas A. Foy, 93, of Topsham, beloved husband of Edna (Pat) Foy, passed away on Jan. 5, 2019 at his home. The son of Thomas A. and Stella M. (Bressett) Foy, he was born in Springfield Mass. He grew up in Hartford Conn., a city for which he always felt close ties.

Tom attended Catholic University in Washington DC, and was employed by Western Electric and then by IBM for 33 years. He traveled around the world and to many locations in the U.S. during his successful career.

Tom lived in Westport, Conn. for 40 years, and loved being very close to the water of Long Island Sound. He was an avid fisherman and boatman, and loved taking his family and friends out on his boat for fishing and fun and to collect lobsters from his traps.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his son Michael D. Foy.

He is survived by his wife Pat, of 70 years; his daughter Jean Foy and her husband Rich Evans of Topsham, his sons, Tom Foy and his wife Erin of Berlin, Conn., and Rob Foy and his wife Julie of Gorham, his daughter-in-law Donna Foy of Austin, Texas; and his six grandchildren Michael, Tom, Kelly, Andrew, Meghan, and Kyle.
