Thelma Marshall Tiffany, 98

WESTBROOK - Thelma Marshall Tiffany, 98, of Longfellow Street, died on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at a Portland hospital.

She was born in Patten, on Nov. 5, 1919, the daughter of Joseph Henry and Lucinda (Boynton) Marshall, and grew up in a family of 10.

She attended Patten schools and graduated from Mattawamkeag High School. She also graduated from the Maine General School of Nursing in 1941. Mrs. Tiffany spent many years in the nursing profession.

She was active in the Maine General Hospital Alumnae and also the Golden Club of the Osteopathy Hospital of Portland. She was a former member of the Women's Club of Westbrook.

Mrs. Tiffany often remarked on her wonderful parents and growing up in the town of Patten.

She is survived by two sons, William E. Tiffany and his wife, Michele; and Robert H. Tiffany, all of Gorham; a grandson, Matthew Tiffany, and his wife, Linda, of Durham; great-granddaughters, Lily Marion Forbes Tiffany and Nina Marion Forbes Tiffany, both of Durham; a sister, Dorothy Wright, of Scarborough; and brother, Reverend Paul Marshall, of Camden.

She was predeceased by her husband, William H. Tiffany; and siblings, Patricia Marshall, Ruth Marshall Burngardner, Robert Marshall, Richard Marshall, Herbert Marshall, and Ada Gilly.
