Stirl "Mack" Lingo
1941 – 2018

BATH - Stirl "Mack" Lingo died peacefully at home in Bath, ME on October 6, 2018 at the age of 77.

Mack is survived by his wife, Paula Goode Lingo of Bath, ME; children Kelly Lingo and Kaysie Lingo, both of Chicago, Kerry Cultice, husband Nate, and sons Craig and Jamie, of Santa Barbara, CA, and Cynthia White of Boston, MA as well as a sister, Mary Basilier (Bob) of Benton, AR. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Bertie and Stirl Lingo, and his sisters Kathryn Killingsworth and Dorothy Davis, all of Hot Springs, AR.

Mack was born February 19, 1941 in Hot Springs. He was a member of the Hot Springs High School Class of 1960 and went on to join the US Marine Corps, serving in Okinawa, Japan and achieving the rank of Lance Corporal. After completing his service, Mack became a master plumber in three states and worked in the plumbing industry for more than 40 years in Arkansas, Massachusetts and Maine.

Aside from his family, friends and beloved dogs, Mack was most committed to his hobbies. From camping and hunting to rebuilding boats and cars, he did everything with passion and dedication.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday October 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Hobbs Funeral Home in South Portland, ME with a reception to follow at the same location. A second memorial will be planned in Hot Springs, AR later in the year.
