ALLENTOWN, Penn. - Sandra Swan Smith, 75 years of age and resident of Slatington, passed away peacefully on Thursday Nov. 1, 2018 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Portland, she was a daughter of the late Harold M. and Pauline B. (Hews) Swan. Sandra was a 1961 graduate of South Portland High School, and was an Administrative Assistant at Guardian Life, in Bethlehem, for many years until retiring. She was a member of St John's UCC Slatington, where she sang on the Choir. A member of Calypso Chapter Order, of the Eastern Star, Sandra was a life member of the Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Co. She enjoyed her memberships with AARP, bowling, and the Guardian Women's Club. She was a very special "G Ma" and "Gram" to her grandchildren, and will remain in their hearts forever. Survivors: daughter, Dawn Brensinger of Slatington, with her children, Kane and Cheyenne; son, Kevin Smith of Danielsville, with his children, Jordan and Madison; sister-in-law, Terry Swan and her daughter, Jessica; Predeceased by brother, Gerald M. Swan. Services officiated by Pastor Henry A. Distler Jr. will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday November 7, in the Gilbert Funeral Home, 444 Pershing Blvd. Whitehall, PA 18052, located one block south of the Fullerton Avenue exit of Route 22, where her viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Slatington. Memorial contributions may be presented in Sandra's name to St. John's UCC, 15 S 2nd St., Slatington, PA 18080, or to a to benefit Children.
