Richard R. Murphy, 64
BIDDEFORD - Richard R. Murphy, 64, of Quimby Street, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Portland, Dec. 31, 1953, the son of Robert F. Murphy Sr. and Theresa I. Blais.
Richard grew up on Black Point Road in Scarborough and attended local schools.
He was recently employed as a greeter at Walmart in Biddeford and had attended the Bible Baptist Church in Saco.
He enjoyed collecting VHS tapes, vinyl records, drinking champagne, eating Market Basket chicken wings and having a love of dogs.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Robert F. Murphy Jr.
Survivors include his sisters, Marie A. Murphy of Florida, Diane J. Snow of Limerick, Jo-Ann C. Murphy of Saco; nieces, Ashley Rondeau and Christine Snow and her husband, Danny Lassiter; and their two sons, Liam and Eli Lassiter. He also leaves behind his girlfriend, Shirley Brooks.
Friends and relatives may attend a funeral service at the Bible Baptist Church, 146 Ferry Road, Saco, Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, at 5 p.m.
Private family burial services will be held at the family farm in Limerick.
