Ruth Priscilla Krasnow, 92

SOUTH PORTLAND - Ruth Priscilla Krasnow, who passed away in South Portland on July 7, 2018, was born in Providence, R.I. on June 14,1926. She added light, love and sparkle to the world for over 92 years.

She was married to her beloved Robert M. Krasnow, a World War II veteran, until his passing in 1978. She is remembered and cherished by her two beloved daughters, Jane Krasnow and Ellen Beauchaine; her cherished granddaughters Danielle Door and Krista Krasnow Kelley, her adored grandson Jayson Door; and her two loved sons-in-law, Nolan Hall and Robert Beauchaine.
Her charm, charisma and wit were radiant and impacted every person she came in contact with. Whether she was playing bridge at the Woodfords club on a Friday night where she was a member or watching her favorite sports team, the Patriots, she absolutely enjoyed every minute of life to the fullest.

Priscilla had a big heart and a strong desire to help others. She volunteered at Portland Arts and Technology High School every day for 3 years. She was Portland Schools Volunteer of the Year in 2013. She formed life long bonds with many of the students, and she stayed connected with many of them until the day she passed. She worked with the Democratic party, always striving to make the world a better place for all, she loved and accepted everyone. She loved to dance, sing and be the life of the party. She most recently lived at the Betsy Ross house in South Portland, where she was known as the "The Sparkle Lady," because of her fabulous fashion sense.

Please join us for the celebration of her life at the Woodfords Club (179 Woodford St., Portland) Thursday, July 12, from 3-7 p.m.
