Mary Ann Dussault, 70
SCARBOROUGH - Mary Ann Dussault of Scarborough passed away July 3, 2018 in Portland at the age of 70.
Mary loved spending time with family, playing bingo, cross stitch and knitting. Mary would knit hats and scarves for the Preble Street Shelter. She would also knit slippers, hats and scarves to donate to the Barbara Bush Hospital at Maine Medical Center. Mary was a very proud military spouse. She loved living in Japan and traveling the sites while in Japan, like the Kintai Bridge, Cherry Blossom Festival and shopping at Nichiis in downtown Iwakuni. Mary loved collecting Japanese memorabilia while living in Japan.
She is survived by her husband, Marcel Dussault. Mary and Marcel were married on Jan. 28, 1967. Mary is also survived by her two children, daughter, Lynne Chase and her husband, Lucas Chase, of Wells; son, Richard Dussault and his significant other, Jenn Gondek, of Biddeford. She was a proud grandmother of four beautiful girls: Ashley Presby and her husband, Don Presby. of Sanford; Meagan Young of Illinois; Alyssa Chase of Wells and Samantha Chase of Wells.
She was a proud great-grandmother to Mackenzie Presby. Mary is also survived by her brother-in-law, Robert Temple; brother, Edward Verge and his wife, Robyn Verge; sister, Violet Willey and her husband, Tom Willey; brother, Roger Verge; as well as nieces and nephews: Mary Temple, Susan Dumas, Scott Temple, Shelley Porter, Jesse Verge and Edward Verge.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Edward Verge and Alice Perry; brother, Robert Verge; in-laws, Alexander Dussault and Rachel Dussault; sister in-law, Cecile Temple; and niece Jennifer Willey.
Services will be held at
Hobbs Funeral Home
, 671 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough. Visiting hours are Monday, July 9, 2018, 5-7 p.m. Funeral service is Tuesday, July 10, 2018, 10 a.m., followed by a celebration of life. Burial will be at the Maine Veterans Cemetery located in Springvale, at 2 p.m., for those who would like to attend.
