PORTLAND - Lucia (Rinaldi) C. Cole, better known as Lucy, 90, of Gorham, Maine formerly of Portland, Maine, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018 at St. Joseph's Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Portland, Maine, with her loving family by her side.

Lucy was born in Everett, Massachusetts December 13, 1927. Raised in Portland, Maine her entire life. She was the daughter of Alphonso and Brigida Marrone Rinaldi.

Lucy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lucy always put her loved ones first. Nothing was more important to her than her family. She enjoyed watching her grandsons play sports as they grew up. She also enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, collecting recipes and cleaning her home. Lucy had a love for desserts. She was also a member of the communicant of St Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Portland, Maine. She was loved and will be missed by many people.

She is predeceased by her parents, Alphonso and Brigida; husband, Roger Cole; brother, John Rinaldi Sr.; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Carl Trynor; sister and brother-in-law, Camilla and Edmund Savoie; sister-in-laws, Marjorie and Joyce Rinaldi; brother-in-law, Dallas Hood; nephew, David Rinaldi.

She is survived by her only son, Ralph Cole and wife, Beverly; grandson, Nicholas Cole and wife, Domanita; grandson, Dustin Cole and wife, Erica; great-grandchildren, Alivia and Oliver Cole; sister, Nancy Hood; brothers, Joseph and Sammy Rinaldi; brother, Martin and wife Frances; sister-in-law Gail Rinaldi. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at St. Joseph's Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for all of the loving care they provided to Lucy during her stay.

Friends and family are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, from 8:30-9:30 am, at Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018 at 10 a.m., at the St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal Street, Portland, Maine. Interment will immediately follow at the Calvary Cemetery in South Portland, Maine. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland, Maine.
