Louisa May Clement 1955 - 2018 WINDHAM - Louisa May Clement was born on May 16, 1955, to Donald and Lorraine Langley in Portland. She married her husband, John on Aug. 25, 1979. Louisa retired from New England Telephone and also worked for the Windham School Department. Louisa loved spending time with her family, her pets, and visiting friends around town whenever she could get out. She was a cancer survivor of over four years, and still loved to go out and visit her favorite places with John. Louisa, "Mum" or "Grammy" was dearly loved by her family, who were with her throughout the challenges of the past years. She bravely did all she could to spend time with them till the end. Louisa loved dogs, and especially her furry companion during these last years, Gibbs, who was faithfully at her side.Louisa is survived by her husband, John of 39 years; brother, Edward "Eddie" Langley and partner, Trease Mader; daughters, Kristen van de Klashorst and husband, Olaf, and Kimberly Mantlow and husband, Nathan; nieces, Amanda Langley and Angie Stone and husband, Colton, nephew, Nicholas Langley; grandchildren, Owen and Anika van de Klashorst; and beloved friend, Dee Langley. The family also wishes to express their deep appreciation for the kind and sensitive care provided by the care staff of Northern Light Hospice.Services are planned at Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland, with visitation for friends and family on Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 4-7 p.m. and a funeral service at the chapel on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 11 a.m., with Pastors Mark Gedicks and Olaf van de Klashorst officiating, with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
