BIDDEFORD - Kostoula Perkolidis, 61, of Biddeford, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a long illness on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born in Pyrgos, Greece on June 25, 1957, a daughter of Demetrios Karakatsanis and Voula (Paraskevopoulou) Karakatsanis. She went to high school in Pyrgos, Greece.

Her hobbies included gardening, sewing and knitting. She was most passionate about cooking and baking, especially for family gatherings. When she wasn't in the kitchen, she most enjoyed being at the beach, socializing with friends over coffee and going to Foxwoods Casino. She never missed an opportunity to participate in Greek dancing at social events.

Kostoula had a great faith and was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. She volunteered for many of the church events and was a member of the former St. Fortini Society.

Kostoula is predeceased by her parents, Demetrios and Voula. She is survived by her husband George; her daughter Philia Maria Hebert and her husband Karl, her son James Perkolidis and his wife Sue; her brother Vagelis Karakatsanis, her sister Venetia Voutsas; aunt Harriet Routses; cousin Joanne Routses; and many relatives in Greece.
