YARMOUTH
1983 - 2018
God brought Katherine Rose Powers into this world February 14, Valentine's Day, 1983. He brought her home October 3, 2018.
At 36 hours old, Katherine was brought to live with her adopted parents, Patrick and Rosemarie Powers, Katie was a Miracle and a great Blessing.
Katherine, (Katie) as a young child was always the champion for the wounded squirrel, the new kid in school or anyone she thought needed, not anything in particular, just needed.
She loved teaching people how to shuck steamed clams, eat a lobster or suck the head off of a crawfish. Katie also had great artistic ability, she would unravel a sock and weave a bracelet from the threads. Kate struggled with many years of addiction. Eight years ago, she was blessed with her first child, Ella. Eleven months later, Keegan and three years later Jacen. Her children were the love and joy of her life. Katie's health deteriorated over the years with tremendous suffering. God ended her suffering and pain on October 3rd.
Katie is survived by her life partner and the father of her children, Jason Berry, her three children, Ella, Keegan and Jacen Berry all of Lisbon Falls, her parents Rosemarie and Patrick Powers, her grandmother, Rose Thompson as well as her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many extended family. We love you Katie, may you now Rest In Peace.
