Jean I. (Duncan) LeBlanc, 85
ACTON - Jean I. (Duncan) LeBlanc, of Acton, and formerly of Lynn, Mass., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at the Masconomet Nursing Home in Topsfield, Mass. She was born on Oct. 2, 1932, in Lynn, the daughter of the late E. Cedric and Elva (Huggins) Duncan. She graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1950.
She worked as a clerk steno-grapher in the Department of Veterans services at Lynn City Hall. She resigned in 1956 to raise her family. She was deeply involved in the rearing of her six children. She enjoyed antiques, collectibles, and spent numerous hours solving crossword puzzles as she looked out at the beauty of Great East Lake.
She was a former member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Lynn and a current member of the Acton Congregational Church in Acton.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Preston LeBlanc Sr.; and her brother, Clifford Duncan.
She is survived by her children, John P. LeBlanc Jr., of Acton; Scott D. LeBlanc of Lynn, Mass.; Lori J. Cronin, of Peabody, Mass.; Cheryl A. Daley, of Byfield, Mass.; Karen M. LeBlanc, of Derry, N,H.; and Suzanne P. Barnwell, of Travelers Rest, S,C.; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale. Visiting hours will begin Thursday at 11 a.m. until 1 pm. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Acton. Condolences may be expressed at:
