SCARBOROUGH - Elmo Ansley "Al" Greene, 77, of Scarborough, passed away on Nov. 26, 2018, at Sedgewood Commons. Al was born on August 15, 1941, in Gorham to the late Elmo Ansley Sr. and Ethel Irene (Foshay) Greene.

Al graduated from Scarborough High School and later served in the United States Airforce. He worked for Allied Cook Construction for over 47 years retiring as a supervisor.

He was a 50 year member of Amvets Post 6 and also a member of the American Legion. Al also enjoyed camping and most of all spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents Al is predeceased by his two sisters Ellen Pecoraro and Shirley Barber.

Al is survived by his wife Cheryl "Clarke" Greene; his son Bill Greene and his wife Pam of Poland, his daughter Ruth Darling and her husband Don of South Portland, his daughter Mary LaGrou and her husband Ed of Spangdahlem, Germany, his son Andrew Greene and his wife Victoria of Poland, his son Jeremy Greene; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
