WESTBROOK -- Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Plourde died peacefully on Dec. 29, 2018 at Avita of Stroudwater. She was born in Portland of the late Royal Harrison Waldron and Rose Anna Gouzie.

As a child she attended Bridge Street and St. Hyacinth grammar schools and grew up in a loving multi-generational home with grandparents, aunts and uncles. She excelled at office management working for Jordan Marsh, Ken Devoe Construction, Data General Corp. where she worked with executive staff and L. L. Bean where she won awards for customer service.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed camping and skiing with friends and family, baking, sewing, knitting and crafting; and had a great sense of humor, and shared many stories of her life. Her retirement years along with Patrick were spent encouraging and attending grandchildren's numerous musical concerts, and soccer games. She and Patrick visited Florida in the winter and enjoyed long walks at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth in the summer.

She is survived by a son, Brian Plourde and his wife Nancy (Knudsen); grandson Nathan W. Plourde and his wife Dakota (Dowling), and granddaughter Laura J Plourde; siblings, Rodney Waldron, Mary Patricia Drown, and Sally Group; as well as numerous cousins; nephews, nieces; and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Patrick I. Plourde of 57 years in 2011, as well as a sister Delia Merrifield.

A funeral service will be held 11a.m. Saturday Jan. 12, at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee 35 Church Street, Westbrook. A period of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
