LEXINGTON, Ky. - Donald M. Harmon, 85, passed away at home in Lexington, Ky. on Jan. 5, 2019. He was born in South Portland to Stanley M. Harmon and Barbara F. (Lavigne) Harmon on Oct. 19, 1933. After graduating from high school, he joined the Military, serving 30 years. He achieved the rank of Master Sergeant at the time of his retirement, in 1977. He married Agnes S. Betham in April of 1957. To this union, four children were born. He will be missed by his siblings, David Harmon, of Portland, Ann Davenport, of Concord, N.H., Robert Harmon, of Kansas, and Deborah Parker; his children, Donald Jr. (Debbie) Harmon, Ronald (Erin) Harmon, of Sacramento Calif., Patricia (Ron) Foster, of Blythe Calif., James (Jocelyn) Harmon, of Ione Calif.;grandchildren, Jessica (Joe) Galvan, Rebecca Foster, Tamara Harmon, Amber Harmon, Jennifer(Tim) Balluch, Caleb Harmon, Jacob Harmon; great-grandchildren, Kylie Galvan, Salvador Galvan, Dominik Galvan, Jordin Burrell, Ariana Burrell, Luci, Aria, Matthew. His parents preceded him in death. Donald lived a long and happy life. Loved his family, friends, and was always laughing. He was very outgoing and strong willed. Burial will be in Black Point Cemetery in Scarborough in the spring. Hobbs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial with Military Honors will be Jan. 14, at 2 p.m. at Hobbs Funeral Home, Scarborough.
