In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Joan Taylor Doughty; daughters Sheila Arey-Godin and Rhoda Doughty as well as his son Clifford W. Doughty III.
He is survived by his daughters, Wanda Coombs and her husband Lawrence of Falmouth, Betty Walls and her husband Gordon of Gorham, his son Phillip Doughty and his wife Rebecca of Topsham, and his daughter Melinda Brown of South Portland; his siblings Neil Tame of Standish, Clayton Tame of Fort Wayne, Ind., Phillip Tame of Gray, Nancy Pratt of North Monmouth, and Janice Brackett of Freeport.
