Marjorie (Benson) Lennon
FLORIDA - Marjorie (Benson) Lennon died on Oct. 27, 2013.
She was born in Portland on March 31, 1941, the daughter of the late Richard H. and Blanche (Keables) Benson. She attended South Portland schools and played the saxophone in the S.P. High School band and graduated in the class of 1959. She went to Westbrook Jr. College to become a medical transcriptionist.
She moved to Connecticut, worked and married Thomas A. Lennon.
She is survived by a daughter Patricia and husband Brian of Virginia, her son Thomas of Connecticut; her sister Ruth West and family of Gorham; many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was a devoted Red Sox fan and bridge player. She was a member of the Rebekahs and Eastern Star.
She was preceded by her parents; her husband; and her brother Richard E. Benson and his wife Florence.
