WINDHAM -- David M. Varney, 60, passed away on April 3, 2013, at Ledgewood Manor in Windham after a long battle with M.S.
David was born in Portland on Nov. 15, 1952, the son of the late Richard L. Varney Sr. and Helen J. (Goretzka) Varney of Windham. He attended Portland and Windham High Schools graduating from Windham in 1971.
Following high school, he served in the U.S. Army for three years. Following his military service, he worked at Portland Clutch for many years.
David was predeceased by both sets of grandparents. In addition to his mother, family members include his twin brother Rick and his wife Joyce; a daughter Jessica; nephews, Jason and Justin; an aunt Hilda; and many aunts, uncles; cousins and friends.
Services will be held at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
