Judith A. Carr, 62
PORTLAND -- Judith A. Carr, 62, of Hollis, died on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Maine Medical Center.
Judy was born in Portland on July 7, 1950, the daughter of the late Fredrick and Eleanor Carr. She graduated from Westbrook High School as a member of the class of 1969. Her high schools years were very important to her; she remained close with many of her classmates and looked forward to every high school reunion.
After high school, Judy went to work for Sanborn Trucking until they closed, then spent the next 25 years working for Century Tire in Portland.
She also enjoyed the Saturday Night American Legion Dances, these would become a highlight to her week, she would visit the Indian Reservation every August and spent just about every holiday and any other chance at her Cousin Linda's home. Judy was a very caring person and would give of herself no matter what, even if it was not in her best interest.
She is survived by her cousin, Linda Neptune and her husband Wayne of Gorham, and their children, Lindsay and Wayne Neptune Jr. She also leaves other cousins, Peachie, Diane and Shirley, and their families, as well as many other cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., at the Stroudwater Baptist Church, 1729 Congress St., Portland. Burial will follow at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland. Arrangements are under the care of Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 981 Forest Ave., Portland. Please visit
