Lovrinovicz, 85
WINDHAM -- Edward A. Lovrinovicz, 85, of Pope Road, died on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
Born in Waterbury, Conn., he was the son of Anthony and Katherine Ganavage Lovrinovicz. He attended Watertown, Conn., schools.
For several years, he was a caretaker for Camp Mattatuck Boy Scout Camp in Connecticut and also worked as a plumber at a local brass mill.
In Maine, Mr. Lovrinovicz was the caretaker for the Salvation Army Camp on Sebago Lake for fifteen years.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II. In Watertown and Plymouth (both in Conn.), he had been active as a scoutmaster. He was a member of Presumpscot Masonic Lodge #70 in Windham, a member of Pondicherry Chapter, OES in Bridgton and a Life Member of Disabled American Veterans.
In his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hiking and camping.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, June Deloy Lovrinovicz of Windham; a son, Kirk E. Lovrinovicz and his wife Kathy of Boardman, Ohio, a daughter, Kim M. Lowell and her husband Jeffrey of Windham; a sister, Mary Curtiss of Watertown, Conn.; three grandchildren, Joshua, Erin and Michael; and numerous nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham. Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Gorham will be in the spring.
