STANDISH -- Suzanne Thomas Dolloff, 78, of Standish, died peacefully at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a long struggle.
She was born in Perth Amboy, N.J., on July 26, 1933, the daughter of the late Edgar and Helen (Frambes) Thomas.
Suzanne graduated from Standish High School and attended Bennington College in Vermont. She was a talented artist. Her skill came through not only in her charcoal sketches but also sewing, knitting and crafts. Suzanne loved her gardens and watching the sunsets over the White Mountains from her porch. She was also active in her local Democratic Party.
She shared 51 years of marriage with the late Wesley C. Dolloff who died in 2004.
Family members include her sons, Jeff and Brian, her daughters, Cindy and Lisa; grandchildren, Tracy, Roxane, Brandy, Meghan, Nick, Eric, Gunnar, Emily, Morgan, Abby, Wesley and Finn; and brothers, Charles, Fred (Ted) and David. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank (Beau).
The family wishes to thank the VNA, MMC Emergency Room personnel and the staff at Gosnell for their support and special services provided to Suzanne and her family.
