Carter-Douglass, 18

BRIDGTON - Brittany Maeve Carter-Douglass, 18, died on July 24, 2005 in Arizona as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

She was born in Portland, the daughter of Brian Richard and Michelle R. (Carter) Douglass and was a 2004 graduate of Lake Region High School in Naples.

Brittany was a Crew Chief in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.

Surviving are her parents of Bridgton; maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Jackson of Rockland; maternal great-grandfather, Steven Carter of Friendship; maternal grandmother Veronica Andersen of Cornville; paternal grandparents, Benjamin and Beverly Douglass of Standish; two brothers, Joshua B. Douglass and Christopher R. Douglass, both of Bridgton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Dolby & Dorr Funeral Chapel, 76 State St., Gorham. A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Steep Falls Baptist Church, Route 11, Steep Falls. Interment will follow at Steep Falls Cemetery.
