BIDDEFORD -- Lorraine R. Dupuis, 74, of Arundel, died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford after a brief illness with cancer.
She was born in Sanford on Oct. 29, 1935, the daughter of Reginald R. and Marie L. Brochu Frechette and was educated in Sanford schools, graduating from the former St. Ignatius High School in the class of 1953.
On Aug. 14, 1954, she married Robert O. Dupuis in Holy Family Church in Sanford. He died on July 17, 2001.
Mrs. Dupuis worked 17 years with Gagne's Market in Sanford. In 1971 she along with her husband and family moved to Arundel and established Shady Oaks Mobil Home Park retiring in 1987 to care for her ailing husband.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra Cloutier and her husband Normand of Arundel, Rachel Dupuis of San Diego, Calif.; one brother, Reginald R. Frechette Jr. and his wife Irene of South Carolina, one sister, Rejeanne Paquin of Saco; two granddaughters, Kimberly Parrish and Katrina Cloutier; several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at St. Martha's Church of the Holy Spirit Parish in Kennebunk.
