Patricia Ann Chapman, 56 BUXTON -- Patricia Ann Chapman, 56, of Town Farm Road, passed away on Sept. 16, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Burlington, Vt., on May 8, 1953, the daughter of the late Leo Sr. and Joanne (Sweeney) Pratt. She was educated in Vermont and worked for many years as an accounts payable specialist. She enjoyed playing Canasta, bowling, rubber-stamping, and was a member of the Tory Hill Church. She is survived by her beloved husband, Norman Chapman Sr.; step sons, Norman Chapman Jr. of Connecticut, Shawn Chapman of Connecticut, and Russell Chapman of Standish; sister, Susan Santor of Vermont, step sisters, Betsy Whitney of Vermont and Helene Ballard of Vermont, half brothers, Leo Pratt Jr. of Vermont and Robert Sweeney of Vermont; grandchildren, Blake Chapman and Luke Chapman of Connecticut; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial reception to celebrate Patricia's life according to her wishes will be held on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 1-3 p.m. at the Tory Hill Parish House in Bar Mills (Main St. / Rt. 4A); with the Rev. Karen Christensen offering prayers. Burial will be private at South Buxton Cemetery. Arrangements are with Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home - Buxton.
