WINDHAM -- Sandra Roberts White (Sandi), loving mother, grandmother and friend lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.
She was born on March 12, 1944, to the late Roland and Hazel (Tuxbury) Roberts. Sandi grew up in Yarmouth, but spent her adult life raising her family in Windham. She enjoyed her family, friends and pets.
Sandi was a talented painter and crafter. She also enjoyed countless hours in her gardens at her home in Windham.
Sandi spent most of her career working in retail. She took pride in her work and enjoyed dealing with the public.
Sandi was predeceased by her siblings, Hollis, Bertrum, Richard,
Dorthea and Lois. Survivors include her children, David White of Key West, Fla., Steven White of Windham, and Krista and her husband Chris Gerrity of Windham; her grandchildren, Ashley and his wife Alicia Szostak, Cameron White, Ava and Renner Gerrity; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her including her beloved dog, George.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, at 11 a.m., at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham, with a reception following the service at a location to be announced. We will not say, 'in lieu of flowers' because frankly she loved flowers, so feel free to send them. Online condolences may be sent to www.dolbyfuneralchapels.com.
