PORTLAND -- Jim Kise, 75, died all too soon at his home in Freeport on Dec. 26, 2012.
He was born on May 2, 1937, in Trenton, N.J., to Charles R. and Gladys Mae (Doll) Kise.
He is survived by his wife, Sallie Smith; his brother, Lee (Germany); four children, Jefferson (California), Curtis (Philadelphia), Susanna (Houston) and Triplett (Freeport); and by three grandchildren, Cassandra, Marguerite and Wesley (California).
A multiple graduate from the University of Pennsylvania (BA, MA, MCP, MFA) he was one of Philadelphia's greatest advocates. He was a principal in the architectural and planning firm of Kise, Straw, and Kalodner. Among other activities he was a Trustee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art for almost 40 years.
Services will be held at the Church of St. Martin- in-the-Fields, Chestnut Hill, Pa., in the new year. Please visit www.lindquistfuneralhome.com to share your condolences, memories and tributes with his family.
