WINDHAM -- Thomas P. Green, 92, of River Road, died on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at the Maine Veteran's Home in Scarborough. Born in Lynn, Mass., he was the son of Thomas E. and Mary Frances Green. He was a 1938 graduate of English High School in Lynn.
During World War II, he served in the Army and saw action in the Battle of the Bulge.
Mr. Green began a career in sales at Sears & Roebuck in Boston rising to regional manager of hardgoods. From 1965 until he was nearly 80, he was a hearing aid dealer in Southern Maine.
He enjoyed traveling with his companion, Fran, eating out and doing his yard work.
Mr. Green was predeceased by his wife, Caberia A. Fornari in 1984; and by his daughter, Christine K. Smith in 2005. Surviving him are his son, Thomas E. Green of Scarborough; his long time companion, Fran Esty of Windham; his sister, Mary Kinane of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Thomas, Christine, Jennifer and Mary; and his great- grandchildren, Emma and Zoe. Visiting hours will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham, with funeral prayers to follow at 3 p.m. at the chapel.
