Sylvia L. Noiles, 78
PORTLAND -- Sylvia L. Noiles, 78, of Portland, died on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at her home.
Sylvia was born in Pownal on Oct. 26, 1934. She grew up in Portland and worked as an inspector for Fairchild Semiconductor. However, Sylvia's real job was raising her six children.
Sylvia enjoyed trips to the casino's, especially out in Vegas. She loved to play BINGO, watch Red Sox games, or a night out at the races. She was a devoted and loving mother, and absolutely adored her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.
Predeceasing Sylvia was her husband, Franklin Noiles Sr.; their daughter, Shirley Gay; a son-in-law, Randy Shaw; and five siblings. Surviving are her children, Franklin Noiles Jr. and his wife Kathy of Westbrook, Diane Colello and her husband Peter of Portland, David Noiles and his wife Victoria of Portland, Tina Shaw of Portland, Brian Noiles and his wife Ann Marie of Scarborough; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A period of visitation for Sylvia and her family will be held this Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 9 to 10 a.m., at the Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Care for Sylvia and her family has been entrusted to the Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home of Portland.
