SCARBOROUGH – Susan M. Berube, 51, of Scarborough died Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Maine Medical Center.
Susan was born in Sanford, the daughter of Normand and Jeannette Berube. She was educated and a graduate of Scarborough High School Class of 1982. She went on to receive her degree in cosmetology, later opening up her own hair salon called First Glance in Saco. She also earned her realtor license and opened Silver Star Realty in Saco. In 1992 she worked and later ran the business of Normand Berube Builders.
In 1992 Susan and Keith Googins became a family together when Susan became the step mother of his two children, Kyley and Devin Googins followed by the birth of their daughter, Janelle Marie Googins in 2001.
She enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed going to Foxwoods and Oxford, playing the slots with Keith and friends for a fun get away. They enjoyed going to Florida as a family along with their friends.
She is predeceased by her mother Jeanette Mailhot Berube; and a brother Paul Berube.
Survivors include her loving Partner of 23 years Keith Googins of Scarborough; son Devin Googins of Scarborough, daughters Kyley Googins of North Carolina and Janelle Googins of Scarborough; father Normand Berube and his partner Marjie Dube of Scarborough; one brother Raymond Berube of Scarborough; along with many uncles, aunts; nieces and nephews and many many loving extended family members and friends.
Visiting hours will be held from 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3rd at the
Hobbs Funeral Home
671 US Rte. One Scarborough, Maine 04074. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4th at St. Maximillian Kolbe Church in Scarborough. Interment to follow at St. Ignatious Cemetery in Sanford. Online condolences may be made at www.hobbsfuneralhome.com.
