Sharon Jane Allen, 59
PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Sharon Jane Allen, 59, born on Nov. 11, 1952, in Lubec, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 2, 2012, in Phoenix, Ariz. Jesus came and met Sharon at the gate and took her by the hand to the land of milk and honey, where she has everlasting life. All her pain and sorrow gone.
She was predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Kay; and her brother and sister, Charlie and Bev. Sharon has left behind two sons, Isaac Lowey and Michael Allen, both of Phoenix; four sisters, Cathy Allen, Rhoda Bilodeau, Cheryl Blanchard, and Anna Collins, four brothers, Michael Allen, Wayne Allen, Wendell Allen, and Maurice Allen Jr.; and seven grandchildren.
Sharon was a Registered Nurse and worked in many facilities in Maine. She loved working for the Traveling Nurse Association and did tours all over our beautiful country. Her main love was playing the guitar and singing. She sang rock 'n' roll, blues, country, and Christian rock and soul, which she loved the most. She also wrote several songs and would entertain at family gatherings. She was a blast to be around and had a sense of humor that kept you laughing for hours. She was also a very good cook and going to dinner at her house always left you warm and fuzzy. She was the queen of home made biscuits. Her presence is going to be missed for a very long time by those who knew her and those who loved her.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at 5 p.m., at the First Parish Church, 425 Congress St., Portland.
