Shameek "JoJo" Yuelle Obituary
Shameek "JoJo" Yuelle, 37
NEW GLOUCESTER - Shameek "JoJo" Yuelle, 37, died on Sept. 14, 2015. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Oct. 18, 1977, the son of Randall Yuelle and Patricia (Garcia) Korhonen.
JoJo moved to Maine when he was 13, and grew up in the Lewiston. He played basketball, skiied at Lost Valley, and danced. As a dancer, he had entered many competitions, and even won a few, but he was especially proud that his dancing once got him on MTV. JoJo was a great father who focused all of his attention on his family, and took care of everyone. He was aspiring to go back to school to be a drug counselor for young adults.
JoJo is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Lefebvre) Yuelle; daughter, Britney Garcia, son, Gunner Yuelle, stepdaughter, Jamie Nelson, stepson, Joseph Nelson; his mother, Patricia Korhonen; maternal grandmother, Cornelia Reeves; and sisters Kendra Korhonen, Jelissa Garcia, and Tish Ford, brothers, Timothy Wing, Jeffrey LaFlam, and Marshall Mercer. He was predeceased by his father, Randall Yuelle.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham. A funeral service will be celebrated at 1 p.m. at the Chapel. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery.
