Rynell M. Labbe, 88
TOPSHAM -- Rynell M. Labbe, 88, of Topsham, passed away on Nov. 12, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Collinsville, Conn., on Jan. 26, 1924, the daughter of Arthur and Delia (Voisine) Blanchette. She grew up in Eagle Lake and attended parochial schools.
In 1943 she married her soul mate and best friend Raoul Labbe and the couple resided in Topsham to raise their family. Rynell was a mother who always put her children first, there wasn't anything that she wouldn't do for them. Family was very important to her and spending time with them was always top priority.
In her later years she enjoyed playing cards, reading and crocheting. Every Sunday she went to lunch with her daughters at her favorite place, FAT BOYS, ordering a Royal Burger Basket, as she was a creature of habit and her family found it very difficult to change her mind. She also loved spending time 'up north' in her hometown of Eagle Lake, things won't be the same without her; she will be sadly missed.
Rynell was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Brunswick.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raoul Labbe in 1995; a son, Erland Labbe; a brother, Freeland Blanchette, sisters, Ione Ullrich and Patricia Ingerson; and a son-in-law, Alban Cloutier. She leaves behind her daughters, Sandra M. Labbe and her domestic partner Joyce Crosman of Topsham, Arlene Cloutier of Topsham; three grandchildren, Jeannine Estes and her husband Mark of Topsham, Glen Cloutier of Topsham and Gary Cloutier and his wife Stacy of Brunswick; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Sweetser of Massachusetts, Barbara Laberge of Brunswick, Carolee Brown of Orrs Island and a brother, Laurel Blanchette of Falmouth.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 4-6 p.m., at the Demers-Desmond Funeral Home, 34 Cushing St., Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m., at the St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church, Pleasant Street, Brunswick.
