Ryan E. Cook
PORTLAND -- Ryan E. Cook, passed away on June 19, 2013. The son of Robert and Janine Cook, Ryan was born in Portland. He attended Portland schools and graduated from Deering High School in 2001. He was employed at Tyler Technologies in Falmouth.
Growing up he was a member of Boy Scout, Troop 41, where he especially enjoyed the camping trips to Mount Katahdin. He was proud that he hiked the 'Knife Edge' when he was 12 years old. Ryan loved nature and water sports. He loved going to the family camp where he learned to water ski and sail at a young age. He was always looking forward to the next trip to his grandparents' farm at Evans Notch. He loved music and was an avid photographer and fireworks enthusiast.
Ryan is survived by his beloved daughter, Annabelle, who was the center of his universe. Ryan was a devoted father and he cherished every moment with Annabelle. He is also survived by his parents; his brother Greg and his wife Christina; nephew Robbie and niece Emily; his maternal grandparents; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. David R. Alvord officiating, at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. There will be a private burial at a later date.
