Paul A. Sargent, 90
CORNISH - Paul A. Sargent went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and join his wife in heaven, at 2330 Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017.
Paul was born in Cornish, May 10, 1927, to Aldana and Nellie (Clemons) Sargent. Paul was a T-5 technician in the Army and served in World War II and Korea.
Paul was a dedicated worker wherever he worked: Gunner's mill after the war, 23 years at Keddy's steel mill, and finishing out his career at a steel mill in Portland, driving forklifts. He often did seasonal work, raking blueberries, picking apples, and stacking lumber in some local lumber yards to help supplement their income.
He enjoyed simple things in life, like gardening, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Louise B. Sargent; son, Richard Sargent; daughter, Linda Louise Sargent (Laughlin); two stepsons, Steven Sargent and Michael Sargent; his brothers, LeRoy Sargent, Earl Sargent, Carl Sargent, Lloyd Clemons and Roland Clemons; and sisters, Eleanor Burnell, Doris Woodbrey, Lucille Clemons, Bernice Johnson and Eleanor Kenny.
He is survived by two stepsons, David Sargent and Delwin Sargent; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a sister, Carolyn Marie Walker.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Oct. 8, from 2-3 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. funeral service, at the
