SOUTH PORTLAND - Nathalie (Bearor) MacLean, 92, of South Portland, passed away peacefully on Feb. 13, 2017, at the Gosnell Memorial Hos-pice House in Scarborough.
Nat was born in Anson on Nov. 2, 1924, to Adelor and Jennie (Garneau) Bearor. She graduated from Madison High School in 1942, and was later employed by Holmes Stickney.
In 1947, she married John A. MacLean Sr. in Madison. They later settled in Portland, where they raised their three children.
During her time at home raising her children, she made wedding cakes for family, friends and others. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, where she was a Eucharist minister and a member of the Women's Council. Christmas was her favorite holiday, spending time with family members.
Nat was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John; her granddaughter, Carin A. MacLean; her brothers, Roland, Reginald, Raymond, Edmund, and Elwood; and sister, Regina Stansbury.
She is survived by her daughter, Elane Decker (Duane), of Westbrook; two sons, B. Alan MacLean (Beverly), of South Portland; and John A. MacLean Jr., of Biddeford; her grandson Dr. Craig MacLean (Amy), and great-grandsons, Benjamin, Matthew and William MacLean, of Exeter, N.H.; grandson-in-law Daniel Alves, and great-grandchildren Elisabeth and Andrew Alves, of Pawtucket, R.I.; four sisters, Melvena Beauford, of Lyme, N.H.; Charlene Carroll, of Scarborough; June Shusta, of Madison; and Shirley Reid (Richard), of Gray; sister-in-law Roberta Place, of Portland; and brothers-in-law Ronald MacLean (Michelle), of Woburn, Mass.; and Robert MacLean (Gail), of Portland.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at the
Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel,
1024 Broadway, South Portland. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maximilian Kolbe, 150 Black Point Rd., Scarborough.
