MESA, Ariz. - Mark Alan Greenwood was born March 19, 1956, in Bangor. He passed away Feb. 8, 2018, in Mesa, Ariz., with his family at his side.
He leaves behind his parents, George and Abbie Greenwood; his sisters, Kimberly Beaulieu and Sandra Thomas; his devoted children, Benjamin Greenwood, Hannah Greenwood, and James Snedeker; his beautiful grandchildren, Maximus and Corwin; as well as countless friends, loved ones, and extended family from all across the globe.
He graduated from Hampden Academy in 1974 and served a six-year tour of duty in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Trepang submarine.
After the Navy, Mark worked for several companies in the New England region as a specialist technician servicing large scale laser printers. He later earned his B.A. in social work from Franklin Pierce University in 2012.
Mark was an incredible artist, loved to read, and enjoyed talking with people from all walks of life. He was especially gifted at counseling veterans through difficult times. His devotion to his family and friends will be remembered always.
