WINDHAM -- Louise A. Silver, 85, of Kardia Drive, died on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012.
She was born on Feb. 18, 1927, in Eagle Lake, the daughter of Thomas and Cezarie Albert. Louise attended Le Couvent Ecole in Eagle Lake. After school she moved to Southern Maine where she married Archie Silver in 1948 and they shared 48 years of marriage before his passing in 1996.
Louise worked predominately as a waitress at Union Station, Liggett's, Sears and S.D. Warren. She was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and a member of the VFW and Little Falls Baptist Church.
Louise was predeceased by her husband; three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her sons, Charles T. Silver of Gray, Norman G. Silver of Cape Cod, Mass., Michael P. Silver of Alfred and Robert O. Silver of Portland, a daughter, Roxanne L. Silver of Windham; a sister, Jeanne Dubay of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
An hour of visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 30, from 10-11 a.m., at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham, where a memorial service will follow at the chapel at 11 a.m. Private burial will be in Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.
