James E. Larrabee, 72
BUXTON - James E. Larrabee, 72, lifelong lobsterman, passed away on Sept. 30, 2017, at Mercy Hospital.
He was born in Damariscot-ta on June 9, 1945, the son of the late Alex and Marjorie (Haskell) Larrabee, and graduated from Stonington schools.
Jim proudly served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army.
He enjoyed going to yard sales, and hunting in his earlier years; he was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Years ago, he was involved with the Stonington Fire Department.
Jim was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Danny.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine "Pat" Larrabee; children, Ryan and Ashley; stepchildren, Sandra and Sheryl; brothers, Larry and George; six grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
Military honors will be private at the
