James Dollard "Jimmy" Letourneau, 72

SUFFIELD, Conn. - James Dollard "Jimmy" Letourneau, 72, formerly of South Portland, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018.

Born in Brunswick on April 15, 1945, he was the son of the late Dollard and Frances (McCrink) Letourneau.

Jim was a loving and kind father, adoring grandfather and a forever friend to all. He loved sports and especially the New York Giants. He was an avid golfer at Nonesuch Golf Club and played whenever he was able. Jimmy was always up for a poker game or time with friends. He loved hanging with his grandkids which always kept him smiling.

Jim worked for many years at Yerxa's as a salesman traveling throughout New England selling lawn equipment and most recently at Sam's Club in Scarborough which he truly enjoyed. He loved seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Jim always had a good story to share or a hand out to help to anyone who needed it.

His sweet smile and kind heart will forever be with all those that knew him.

In addition to his parents; Jimmy was predeceased by his brother, William "Billy" Letourneau in 1960.

He is survived by his daughter Jen Broder (Letourneau) and her husband Kent of Suffield, Conn.; two grandchildren whom he loved and adored, Jackson Lee and Lillian Susan Broder; and two step-children Eric Letourneau and Cindi O'Connell of Fort Pierce, Fla; and many longtime friends.

Visiting hours celebrating Jimmy's life will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. Jimmy's Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Feb.7, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Broadway, South Portland.
