Grenville "Toby" Jordan III, 74
PORTLAND - Grenville "Toby" Jordan III, of Portland, died unexpectedly on June 10, 2017, at the age of 74. Toby was born on May 21, 1943, in Cape Elizabeth, and resided with his father, Grenville Jordan II and stepmother Lydia Jordan.
He attended Cape Elizabeth schools and during the course of his life worked in a variety of positions, including at the Spurwink Country Kitchen, Goodwill, and the former Gorham State Teachers College.
However, Toby will best be remembered for his bright and friendly spirit, his habit of warmly greeting friends, family, and strangers with an enthusiastic "How are you, dear?" and his love of bike riding. Music was another of Toby's hobbies, and he greatly enjoyed listening and singing along to the local "oldies" station.
He is survived by his sister, Pamela Podzniak, of Scarborough; and his niece, Amy Podzniak, of Portland.
Visiting hours will held from 11 a.m.-noon Tuesday, June 20, at
