Gerald A. Bailey
FREEPORT - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gerald A. Bailey, 67, of Freeport, Aug. 10, 2017, from complications due to illness. He was born in Brunswick, June 18, 1950.
He was pre-deceased by his father, Otto C. Bailey; and his dear stepfather, Roland E. Davis.
He is survived by his mother, Gladys M. Davis; and his siblings, Gary, Clyde, Stephen, Richard, Laurie and Roland. Gerald is also survived by his children, Justin, Jeremy, Jessica, Sarah and Aaron; plus 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Gerald attended high school in Chicopee, Mass., before working in the cardboard packaging and later rope product manufacturing industries.
He enjoyed history and exploring nature. Gerald especially loved veg-etable gardening. He had a love of music and a gift for writing songs. He often set his songs to music and played them on his guitar. He was a talented cook, and you never knew when you would be invited to sample his latest culinary creations.
Gerald's concern for others, generosity of spirit, and sense of humor will be sorely missed by his many friends and family.

We all love and miss you, Gerald.

"Do not regret that which you cannot accomplish; rather, reflect upon that which you have achieved!" --Gerald A. Bailey
Memorial services will be announced in the spring of 2018.
