Ethel (Robinov) Koocher, 96
WELLINGTON, Fla. - Ethel Koocher 96, formerly of Portland, Maine, passed away peacefully of natural causes at home in Wellington, Fla. She was born on Feb. 27, 1922, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the eldest child of Frank and Ida Robinov.
Ethel married David Koocher in 1940 and began a family that would span five generations.
Ethel and David, along with her brother and sister-in-law Gerald and Jaqueline Robinov, moved to Maine in 1958 to start Applicators Sales and Service and later on added Paradigm Window Solutions.
Family was first and foremost to Ethel and she lovingly taught her children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren how to live thoughtful, generous, energetic and exciting lives.
Ethel was predeceased by her husband David Koocher, and her brothers Leonard and Gerald Robinov.
She is survived by her children, Mical and Neil Fogel, Sherrie and Stanley Schatz, Robin Koocher, Scott and Alise Koocher; her grandchildren, Dani & Barry Haffner, Robert & Toni Fogel, Andrea & Robert Acosta, Steven & Kimberly Fogel, Jaimie & Tim Craig, Eric & Anna Schatz, Jenifer & Sam Goodman, Randi & Bryan Travers, Andrew & Lindsey Koocher, Alex & Kirk Mullen; great-grandchildren, Ilyssa & Alex Haffner, Jessica & Zac Nicolas, Kirsten Fogel, Sam, Jake, & Casey Acosta, Emily, Nick & Allison Fogel, Dana & Naomi Schatz, Sara, Amy, Jack & Adam Goodman, Jonathan, Seth, & Brooke Travers, Brady Koocher and Lucy Mullen; great-great-grandchildren, Avery & Emma Nicolas, and Riley Clarabel.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, at Temple Beth El, 400 Deering Ave., Portland.
The family will observe Shiva at the home of Sherrie and Stanley Schatz on Wednesday 6:30 - 8:30 and Thursday 2:00-4:00 and 6:30-8:30
