Amanda Louise Champlin, 19
SCARBOROUGH -- Amanda Louise Champlin, 19, passed away Friday morning, Feb. 15, 2013. She was born April 3, 1993 in Portland. She attended Cheverus High School for three years and graduated from Casco Bay High School in 2011. She was employed at JP Thornton's of South Portland as a hostess.
Amanda loved to shop and dance! She was a good writer and played Basketball and Lacrosse in high school.
She enjoyed time with her dog Lilly. Amanda will always be remembered for her courage during difficult times, and she is at rest now.
Amanda was predeceased by her maternal grandmother Noella Cormier.
She is survived by her mother, Monica Chamberland; and sister, Taylor Champlin of Scarborough; father, Glen and his wife of Atlanta, Ga.; grandfather, Ronald Chamberland of Scarborough; grandparents, Edwina and Tom Champlin of Van Buren; aunts and uncles, Paula and husband, Frank Bennett of Carlsbad, Calif., their sons, Christopher Bennett of Seattle, Wash., Nicolas Bennett of Boulder, Colo., Alex Bennett of Tucson, Ariz., Dean Nicholson and his children Adam, Eric and Olivia Nicholson of Stewart, Fla., Donna and husband, Eric Cyr and their children Chanelle, Grace and Ashton of Madawaska, Scott Champlin of Atlanta, Ga., Matthew and wife, Jackie Champlin and their children Bryan, Daniel and Andrew of Jericho Vt.; and many beloved great aunts, great uncles and cousins, a very special godmother, Brenda Granger and Scott and Cynthia Frederick who took care of her in her early years.
Amanda left us too early having struggled through life's challenges that she fought so hard to overcome.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19th at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Scarborough. Arrangements were made by the Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland.
