On Jan. 27, 1968 she married her dedicated husband and partner of 45 years Paul A. Karwowski.
Her operating room nursing career established at Maine Medical Center in Portland led her to a 15 year position at Regional Memorial Hospital in Brunswick, where she built many lifelong relationships. Pinky's joyful passions included; painting, gardening, flowers, and animals. Many people were drawn to Pinky for her cheerfulness, laughter, and sincere selflessness. Her thirst for adventure and child-like awe of the world around her found her taking hiking trips in the White Mountains, swimming with dolphins in the Florida Keys, and wrestling ocean surf from Maine to Mexico. Whether inspirational, hilarious, reflective, or consoling, the insightful nature of conversations held with friends and family will be sorely missed.
