George A. Bombredi, 88
SCARBOROUGH -- George A. Bombredi, 88, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, (formerly of Millbury, Mass.) died Thursday, May 16 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, after a brief illness.
George was born and raised in Millbury, son of the late Anthony & Josephine Bombredi. George was employed as a union truck driver, working for Direnzo Brothers before his retirement.
He was a World War II
Air Force Veteran where he was a Sharpshooter & airplane & engine mechanic. George enjoyed watching all sports and playing cards with family and friends. George also was involved in harness racing, having owned his own race horse & remained active in the sport until his death.
He is predeceased by his wife, Phyllis J. (Boisvert) Bombredi; his siblings, Patrick, Mary, Virginia, Antoinette & Ida. He is survived by his brothers Nicholas & Dominic; his children, Sharron (Kessler) Breault and her husband, William of Millbury, Kathleen and Stephen Kessler of Fla.; his grandchildren, William & Julie Breault of Millbury, Nicole Kessler of Fla. and Stephen Kessler, Jr. of Lynn.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 115 Princeton St., Holden, Mass, 01522
