Armand John 'Bud' Hahn, 97
FALMOUTH -- Armand John 'Bud' Hahn, 97, of Falmouth, died on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Springbrook Center in Westbrook.
He was born in Chicago, Ill., on Sept. 13, 1915, the son of the late George and Eva Hahn. Mr. Hahn was a graduate and taught at the University of Illinois in Champaign, Ill.
He was married in Chicago, Ill., to Sylvia Bobzien with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Bud worked as a Production Manager for Sealtest Ice Cream, a division of Kraft Foods and Hawthorne Melody. He was an active member of the Peoples Methodist Church in South Portland for many years. He also delivered Meals on Wheels with his late wife. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Family members include a son, Paul Hahn and his wife Jane of Gorham, and daughters, Suzanne Svendsen and her husband Paul of Bangor, Gretchen Kamilewicz and her husband Dexter of Orr's Island, Linda Meyer and her husband Larry of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Julie Cunningham and her husband Keith of Portland; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family of Armand wishes to thank the caregivers at The Lodge and Falmouth House of Oceanview in Falmouth and the Springbrook Center of Westbrook for the loving care 'Bud' received while there.
