Annie Francis "Anna" Landry

Annie Francis "Anna" Landry, 88
WESTBROOK - Annie "Anna" Landry, nee Annie Frances Dolan, died peacefully in the early hours of Dec. 22, 2017, at her home in Westbrook. Anna was born in Gorham on August 14, 1929 to Edward I. Dolan and Rita Delcourt Dolan.
Anna was the youngest of three girls and graduated from Gorham High School in 1949. After graduating, she worked for Porteous-Mitchell Department Store in Portland. During a local dance at the Buxton Grange, she met Raymond Landry of Saco. Anna and Raymond married in October of 1953, and moved to Cheshire, Conn., where they had their first three children, Charles, Rita and Lawrence.
The young family moved to Buxton, Maine, where Anna ran a dairy farm alongside her loving husband. From a different generation, she believed it was her responsibility, and a joyful one, to create a warm and welcoming home for her family. It was in the family's move to Steep Falls that Anna found happiness in keeping a vibrant vegetable garden and filling the family kitchen with home-cooked meals and abundant baked goods. In our mothers words "Life is worth living".
Anna is predeceased by her two sons, Charles and Lawrence; her husband Raymond and her sister Louise Laliberty. She is survived by her six daughters, Rita Plummer and her husband Dana, Marie Fleming and her husband Mark, Ann Seachrist and her husband John, LaRae McGuigan and her husband Michael, Rose Masse, and Mary Morin and her husband Scott, her two sons, Raymond and his wife Julie and Thomas and his wife Amy; and her grandchildren, Kyle, Carolyn, Matthew, Thomas, Grace, Ryan, Tyler, Jaden, Jonathan, Abigail, and Madelyn. Anna is also survived by her sister Beatrice Precourt, of Shelburne, Vt.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 5 - 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at St. Anthony of Padua, 268 Brown St., Westbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua. Arrangements are in the care of the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee.
